Air Duct Cleaning

Airborne contaminants are drawn through the ductwork of the central air conditioning system or the heating system via return air registers.  Standard throwaway fiberglass filters remove less than 7% of these particles, which means much of the rest settles in your air ducts.

Now acknowledged as a major allergy and disease-causing problem by leading medical authorities, poor indoor air quality has prompted doctors and allergists to commonly prescribe furnace and air duct cleaning as a remedy.

If you question the need for air duct cleaning, take a look behind the return air grills in the HVAC system of your home. Many people have found that one glimpse into their air ducts provides all the evidence they need to initiate a thorough cleansing of their HVAC system.

One out of every six people who suffer from allergies do so because of the direct relationship to the fungi and bacteria in air duct systems.  - Total Health & Better Health Magazine

Residential air duct cleaning takes a Ductman Technician 1 ½ to 3 hours and is a surprisingly clean and routine process.  While making your home’s air safer, duct cleaning can also reduce heating and cooling costs by allowing your system to operate more efficiently.   Moreover, duct cleaning can cut maintenance cost because a clean system has fewer breakdowns.

The best method for mitigating indoor air quality problems is “Source Removal” duct cleaning.  This process involves the use of mechanical vacuum systems, skipper balls, octa-whips, and different sized brushes to remove the contaminants from your home’s HVAC system.  Sanitizing agents may be applied to keep your household air as clean, comfortable and healthy as possible.  Although duct cleaning is a fairly routine process, extreme caution is taken to ensure that none of the debris escapes into your home’s environment.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

When our professional Ductman Technicians inspect your clothes dryer exhaust duct, we completely disassemble the dryer and conduct a thorough cleaning of all internal components (many are high-voltage parts).  We then make sure there are no obstructions and we verify that the correct type of vent is in use and installed properly.

Our company uses the highest quality, most advanced system of its type to solve your dryer's lint problem safely and effectively.  Using a combination of suction from a high powered vacuum and the thorough cleaning action of a rotating brush, the dangerous lint is collected and completely removed from your venting system and from the dryer itself.

Ductman state-of-the-art equipment will remove blockages such as bird nests, and can pinpoint the location of problems within a wall or ceiling.

Fire departments strongly recommend cleaning your dryer vent to remove lint accumulations before they become potentially dangerous. Last year, over 15,000 household fires in the United States oiginated in the clothing dryer vent.  In addition to becomming a fire hazard,
the lint build-up in your dryer vent can prevent carbon monoxide from venting properly.

Upholstery & Mattress Cleaning

Upholstered furniture uses more varied materials and methods of manufacture than carpet.  One cleaning process will not work on a all upholstered furniture.  Special considerations such as color fastness and dimensional stability of the fabric must be made.  We will provide the cleaning process that is right for your particular upholstered fabric.

Our Ductman Technicians are fully equipped to properly clean practically any type of fabric.  Prior to the actual cleaning, our Technician would first carefully inspect the fabric of your upholstery and recommend the proper cleaning technique.

Flood/Water Damage & Restoration

After the initial water intrusion due to flooding, blockage, or pipe breakage has been stopped, proper procedures must be carried out to ensure no or limited secondary damage.  State of the art high-speed water extraction units and air movers, utilized in conjunction with dehumidification procedures, must be put into play to speed up the drying process and reduce moisture levels.

Time is of the essence.  Ductman has a 24/7 emergency staff and a dedicated property damage specialist available to mobilize within 1 hour to ensure limited displacement, costs, and downtime.   Our high volume desiccant dehumidifiers force dry air into a water-damaged building.  This deep drying of ambient air coupled with constant air movement causes the moisture in building materials to evaporate much quicker than normal, bringing them to normal  moisture levels.  In addition, we can create high-pressure zones to protect areas that had no direct flooding, avoiding future water penetration and further damage.

The magnitude of the loss can be limited by having the professionals on call.   Here at Ductman, we can ensure you that your problems and costs are as painless as a phone call.

Mold Testing & Remediation

Mold is a common indoor contaminant—and, according to new studies, a common cause of illness.   Floods, plumbing, and roof leaks are just some of the ways that moisture finds its way into your home or business.  If this water is not properly and promptly abated, the chances are high that mold may be growing. It could be in the basement, under the carpet, or in a wall cavity.

Mold contamination does not mean your personal effects have to be thrown away.  Although in many instances we are required to remove and dispose of contaminated materials, such as carpeting, walls, ceilings, tiles, flooring, furnishings, and general construction debris, our Ductman Certified Mold Technicians can thoroughly decontaminate materials that the owner must retain.

State-of-the-art training and certification makes Ductman Technicians the best in the mold remediation business.  Our supervisors and technicians go through extensive training workshops and ongoing training courses.
